By Suzanne Clarke
2nd June 2007 - 9th June 2007

Krakow 3 days, Zakopane 4 days.
Krakow was nice, food quite dodgy, rained a lot and was cloudy, went to salt mines, Austwich (very humbling). Zakopane was gorgeous, weather better, mix of sun and rain but very warm, lovely apartment with a mezzanine floor for midgets! Went up the mountains, got lost and soaked in torrential rain, got drunk on Jordans birthday and was sick for 2 hours! Jeigermeister lethal! Walked miles to Morski Oko lake, nearly killed me, then had to walk back down as the wait for horse and carriage was too long! Couldn't walk the next day, hurt just to do nothing!

Fab holiday overall, found a gorgeous italian in Zakopane so we could avoind the strange Polish food, blood sausage, pigs trotters and dumplings, urgh! Zakopane was very traditional with bar staff wearing highland clothes and live music with violins and cellos. Krakow - kebab shop on every corner!

We stayed in Grodzka apartments in Krakow and above the Paparazzi bar in Zakopane.
